Fingerboard glue

I am going to start making my own fingerboards, but I am having trouble deciding which glue to use. Any suggestions?

Gorilla glue or any yellow wood glue. The key is a thin layer of glue and good clamping pressure.

Just buy a bunch of different ones and find out which one you like the best. It’s really the only way to know.

Do you mean standard gorilla glue or gorilla wood glue?

Both, although most companies use standard gorilla glue.

I’ve tried lots over the years, always gravitated towards regular wood glue though. I’ve used epoxies too, I can’t stand the smell though and imo didn’t get wildly better results.

Lately been using this:

And every deck I’ve done is solid. It has saw dust or something like that mixed into it, different to the Tightbond I’ve used in the past.

i use titebond classic wood glue. make sure to wear a mask when you are applying lacquer, if it is aerosol
